Kapa Haka Festival

I was nervously waiting in back papaahi then they called us onto the stage. The first row went then second row and so on. Until it was tokut turn to bring  my line onto the stage. I proudly walked onto the giant stage and then we sang Tu Mai Ra then Harae Mai a Paoa, By now I was starting to get cold  because I didn't have a shirt on and and I was getting more nervous.  then we sang Ka Pioioi and then Puri Anei and then Utaina and now my favourite part the Haka. As I started to smash my arms they grew redder and redder "Hi" the haka was over. Then we moved over to Wainui e, when we finished it we finally sung E honore as we left the stage. I felt as proud as a mother duck and I was happy that nobody stuffed it up!

Leighton House Visit

I walked into the Leighton house it was very quiet not a noise  to be heard. First I walked around looking at elderly people to chat with. Then  me, Max and Kobe walked to a old guy, his name was Noel. After we meet him, we played outside for a while. Then the teacher said "does anybody know how to play Scrabble?" Me and Max said "yes". So we went inside and meet a old woman and played a long game of Scrabble. By the time we had to leave we didn't even finished the game of Scrabble.

Te Tapuwae rongokako

1.I think the Te Tapuwae rongokako marine reserve should stay because everybody should see the beautiful fish and the rich reef.

2. Secondly I think it should stay because if they don't keep it as a marine reserve people catch all of living creatures in Te Tapuwae rongokako marine reserve.

3.last of all I think all of the sea creatures have the right to live in a marine reserve.So I hope that the Te Tapuwae rongokako marine reserve Stays!!!

Houra cube art

This week and last week I learned about Houra cube art. I think the Houra cube art has been challenging because it was hard to cut it out and to glue it together.

The teacher gave us an experiment today about citric acid.  First we mixed all the ingredients together which was citric acid, icing sugar flavour, baking soda and cordial. Then Kobe tried some... I heard fizzing and popping and he sprinted out of the room.  It was my turn next. I did the exact same, same with Max.  I felt sick, same with Max and Kobe. Flynn even threw up.  Over all it was exciting!

Cross country 2019

😀Cross-country😀

At school today we had cross-country Cross.  I ran my absolute hardest. I heard my brother shout, ''Over take him!'' So I ran my hardest ever, and I barely over took him. I felt stoked. I kept running and at this point I was coming third place, I was super happy. Now I was on my last lap and at my last corner. I started to hear the noise of people cheering me on, it got louder and louder until I could see the finish line.  I was puffed. I sprinted my hardest past the finish line.  I was as happy as a duck.

3D hand art

3D hand art This term I have learnt about 3D hand art. I'm finding it a bit challenging to do the curved arc. I think I am going to succeed because I am off with a good start.
