Athletics day

On tuesday we had Athletics day and I was excited. First we went and watched the little kids do there sprints. Then all the year groups split up, year sixes went to 200m sprints which is me.

I was standing at the start line, and as soon as the teacher get set go I took off like a rocket. but then Oscar cut me off with out releasing I thought I was done for. But then I just cut around him and keeped on going I was coming third Max and Rori were in front of me They were to far ahead I had to come Third and so I did. But there was still the finills. To make a long story short I didn't get a placing. Next was ball throw and Rori won that by miles. After that we had long jump and we got 3 jumps. I was coming second and third for a bit but then I got kicked out of third and went to do my last jump sadly I couldn't beat third. Next we had 100m. I came second in my first heat and close to last in the finiles. Last we had high jump and I'v got a dis advantig cos I'm short. For the first one the bar was already really high and I just made it over. When they raised the bar I couldn't make it over so I lost that as well.

I was really tiered after and I think I did really well.

Term 4 it's epic

 So now its term 4, and a lot of stuff is going to happen. First of all, we do this new thing artist study on monday and tuesday evenings. It is only in the moana syndicate we got to choose what class to go to and what artist to study I choose room 3 but I can't remember the artist.

The next thing is speech There happening in week 3 and I do not like to present my speech. My topic is Why skimboarding should be considered a type of surfing. I've finished writing it but now I have to edit it.

Athletics is coming up next tuesday but I might not be able to do that well due to my back ingere. There's a lot more that's going to happen like school surfing on fridays and lots more but that's all for now.

Hamanatua Stream Walk

On Wednesday (MLH) went for a long mudy walk up Hamanatua. First we had to walk on the road for a long time. Then we went over the fence and started to walk. Straight away we had our first challenge we had to go over a stream. 

I just went through because I had gum boots but some people had shoes. Tre slipped in ,Someone dropped their bag in the water and lots of people had soaking shoes. There was lots of cow doo doo and my legs were going to give up on me. There were so many Mud pachis on the way and they were satisfying to stand on. As we got closer the Hamanatua got smaller. At halfway we ate brain brake. Then we walked for a long time until we saw a bunch of cows with there calfs. We had to stay quiet because one of the the calf were sleeping. But obviously everyone stayed super loud. After a long walk we finally got to were the Hamanatua stream starts I was so relieved that I could finally sit down and eat my lunch. Then we walked back and did everything in reverse. Until we got back to where we started. We had to cross the stream again I just went though because I had gum boots but Neko fell in and his waist down was soaking.

When we got back the teacher said that we walked 8.5 Km and that's a lot of damage. I couldn't wait to go back to class and sit down. The end

Makey Makey

On Monday we got the choice to go to Room 1, Room 3, Room 2 and Room 4 for Learning Through Play (LTP). This week Kobe and I went to Room 2 for Makey Makey. (Makey Makey is a little thing that you have to plug in to your chromebook and it has seven little cords that have little clips that can hook on to stuff and the and they have to be clipped onto the Makey Makey. Makey Makey allows everyone to be an inventor it works with electricity). First we got a bit of a growling because some of the Makey Makeys where a bit broken. Once we got set up the teacher gave us our first challenge it was a tiny bit boring so I'm going to go straight to the fun one. It wa a tin foil piano. Kobe and I got straight to it we tried and tried until we got it.We played with it for a while until we had to pack up. After we packed up the teacher told us to go to our class.

Back to School

Back to School 2020

Wow what a great start in the year in MlH. We got different words and we had to find somebody who's word that matched your word and when you got your buzz group. We did tons of games in our buzz groups.

Then we started quick writes the first topic was cheese VS chocolate.  I like cheese best. What do you think is better write in the comments below.

We started going to the pool because swimming sports is coming up and first we practice free style.  I think I'll do ok at the swimming sports.

After that we all got a little piece of paper and we had to cope a picture on a midget piece of paper and then when you add everybody's pics together it adds up to a big picture.

I am looking forward to be in MLH because the learning is different.
